We are Lynn and Larry McDaniel. We are the owners of Patriot Blinds of Western Oklahoma. In business since December, 2012, we were in the market for some blinds for our quaint little love nest in the country when we realized that there was a serious shortage of window covering dealers in western Oklahoma! Shortly thereafter we formed our corporation (MCJONES INC – a combination McDaniel and Jones, the last names we were born with) and started learning the business of designing, selling and installing custom window coverings.
We started out first as a well-known window covering franchise, but when the economy took a sudden and unexpected downturn, we had to let go of our franchise and go out as independent dealers, and Patriot Blinds of Western Oklahoma was born!
We both have backgrounds as licensed nurses and understand the need for educating our clients. When we were looking for blinds we had no idea there were so many different and beautiful products to choose from! So we take you, our customers, through a learning process, explaining the pros and cons of each category of product we sell. We are passionate about window coverings and ensuring you, the client, gets exactly what you are shopping for! We are so passionate about it that we would rather not sell you anything then sell you something that you don’t want!
We know that you can drive to OKC or Amarillo and buy “some blinds” at one of the big box stores. We also know you can shop online for blinds while sitting at your kitchen table in your underwear. We realize that there is some stiff competition out there and that we have to offer something you can’t get online or in the box stores and that is where we find ourselves rising above the competition: Our undying willingness to go the extra mile to provide you with the absolute best customer service. See at Patriot Blinds we believe in serving our customers in such a way that they can’t forget! That is why we have such a high repeat customer percentage and why we have customers refer their entire families to us, even in different states! We are just that good!
Finally, we feel it is necessary to explain our choice of manufacturers to you so that you too understand why we sell so few manufacturers products and why we have chosen the few that we have. Our “go to” manufacturer for our main line of products is Springs Window Fashions which produce our Graber brand of custom window coverings. We have done our research and have sold all of the “big name” brands in the industry and find that the Graber brand is the best product on the market with the best price point. They are as affordable as they are beautiful and with their commitment to produce a stellar product and their incomparable customer service, it was an easy choice who we wanted to represent with our products! Also, we feel honored to be one of the 1000 dealers of Tableaux Decorative Grilles. Tableaux is a completely custom, one of a kind, never off the shelf, product that is so unique that it literally sells itself! The Tableaux Faux Iron appears to be made out of custom rod iron, but is made out of wood and resin and is 1/10th the weight of rod iron.
